Not too long ago commercial data centre facilities were designed for constant loads and a single availability target. Today, our customers are telling us that they require different levels of specification depending on the business requirement and they still want to define many of the features of their data centre space even when using a commercial data centre.

That’s why we’ve developed a way of building out customer space at our Hoddesdon data centre from scratch to your exacting specification extremely rapidly – typically in less than 12 weeks. And because it’s tailored to your specification it can be aligned to your individual business requirements. Think of it as the best of both worlds: the customisation you get when you build your own private facility but the benefits of sharing some of the set up costs with other customers in our facility.

Power availability is becoming a problem in the UK with some facilities suffering from “more space than power”: customers are forced to rent additional space just to get the power they need.  Our Hoddesdon facility has ample power available and can support high density hosting of up to 30kW per rack. And following a major site upgrade, we have deployed the very latest free air cooling that delivers a PUE of 1.5 and allows us to reduce your electricity bills.
