Aidan Paul
Chief Executive Officer
Aidan has over 25 year's communications experience starting in fibre optic transmission and LAN design. He contributed to the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet and ANSI FDDI standards and the Eden Committee on Cable TV communication standards in the 80's. Since then his career has encompassed the start-up of BICC Data Networks, large projects for PA Consulting - including the state sponsored "Rewiring of Belgium", the design of the S.W.I.F.T. funds transfer network, and EFTPOS (UK) Ltd - and Director of Corporate Finance at Robert Fleming. Prior to starting Vtesse Networks, he ran the UK office of Alliant Partners, a US technology mergers and acquisitions firm.
Alan Twite
Chief Operating Officer
Alan has 30 years experience in telecommunications and IT management. At BT, he gained experience in most aspects of the business, set up and ran one of their largest computer centres, and joined the Eastern Region Board as General Manager for Essex and Suffolk. In 1990 he joined C&W and was a member of the Mercury Board as Operations Director, responsible for the network, the company's IT and for a company wide process re-engineering programme. He also worked in Telewest, as Operations Director in the Business Services Division. He has published several books on the subject of change management in IT.
David Grant
Sales & Marketing Director
David began his working life as a technical engineer, moving into product marketing, European Marketing and sales. His early career fast tracked with technology companies such as Wellfleet Communications and Bay Networks. In recent years, his success stories have included Extreme Networks, Bedrock Networks and Matrix Communications Plc. As a member of the Board at Matrix Communications Plc, David took responsibility for integrating four major acquisitions into the business, which significantly contributed to the successful sale of the company.
Richard Tinner
Finance Director
Richard Tinner qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1980 and joined the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1984. He held positions with Deloitte and Touche and Ernst & Young before he joined The MicroBio Group Limited in December 1996. At Ernst & Young, he worked with a number of high technology and manufacturing companies ranging from small developing companies to substantial corporations including Stock Exchange Listed companies. At The MicroBio Group Limited, he was responsible for the financial strategy to grow the company, which turned it from loss into profitability.
After completing a short consulting period, Richard joined Vtesse in October 2006.
