David Wickham Chief Executive Officer
David has over 30 years’ experience in the telecommunications and technology sector managing businesses operating in the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA. He has held board and senior management positions in a number of companies including Cable and Wireless plc, Mercury Communications and Energis. In Cable and Wireless his roles included Chief Executive of Global Networks. At Energis he was COO and then CEO.
More recently David has worked on the boards of a number of telecoms and technology companies, and has operated as CEO in a number of them. These companies have operated in telecoms, data, internet and software services.
Aidan Paul Chairman
Aidan founded Vtesse in 2000 having spent over 25 years in optical communications design and investment banking in the telecommunications sector. His early experience included the development of the Ethernet standard in IEEE 802.3 which has become the building block of cloud communications; the start up of what became 3Com UK, and the introduction of IP at S.W.I.F.T., the international banking network. His investment banking experience at Robert Fleming, now part of J P Morgan, included the sale of Istel to AT&T, the financing of a number of the cable TV companies, the privatisation and financing of Kingston Communications, and the Orion satellite system which supported the UK Lottery.
Richard Tinner Finance Director
Richard Tinner qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1980 and joined the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1984. He held positions with Deloitte and Touche and Ernst & Young before he joined The MicroBio Group Limited in December 1996. At Ernst & Young, he worked with a number of high technology and manufacturing companies ranging from small developing companies to substantial corporations including Stock Exchange Listed companies. At The MicroBio Group Limited, he was responsible for the financial strategy to grow the company, which turned it from loss into profitability.After completing a short consulting period, Richard joined Vtesse in October 2006.
